The International Spy Museum is a 140,000 square foot museum in Washington, DC’s L’Enfant Plaza.  The building which houses a museum, retail, office spaces, and a rooftop event facility is an inverted pyramid shape that rises 8 stories above street level.  The prominent feature of this building is the architecturally exposed sloping columns that make up the building’s perimeter.  These columns were fabricated in two pieces and spliced on site all while maintaining the additional tolerance requirements of  AESS.  The building was constructed on a busy site in Downtown DC not much larger than the building footprint itself, requiring careful planning and just-in-time deliveries.
