Job Summary:
Primary function is to oversee all tax-related functions in a professional manner to ensure accurate corporate compliance and planning. Must exhibit ethical and financially sound decision-making ability with respect to accounts and financial partners. Employee will be responsible for income, payroll, and sales and use tax compliance in addition to all other corporate items as requested by Corporate Office/Vice President of Tax and Accounting.
Essential Job Functions
- Manage corporate tax compliance process with third-party provider
- File sales and use tax returns (monthly, quarterly, annually)
- Manage income, sales and use, and property tax audits
- Coordinate and manage inquiries and notices from tax authorities
- Assist with quarterly estimated tax calculations
- Research various tax issues and provide guidance, including current tax legislation
- Strategize to increase tax credits, incentives and other tax opportunities
- Review and evaluate all accounting procedures for tax compliance and accuracy
Qualifications and Requirements
Required:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Taxation
· Certified Public Accountant
· Minimum of four years of experience in public accounting
· Strong analytical, research and critical thinking skills
